Others sell it or share it with strategic partners. That's all well and good, as long as you're honest about it. Have a privacy policy on your website and make sure you actually follow it. If you say you're not going to share data, great. If you say you'll share it but only with specific companies, say that. And if it's a free-for-all, let people know. Be a decent person. Basically, follow the golden rule.

In what way would you send your business e-mails to individuals you do not know, but are prepared to receive such e-mail from you? Wait, that does not look true. How could this happen?
